Info on mosques: news items false -police

The Police Headquarters in a release yesterday completely denied as false a news item published in certain sections of the media which said CID officials had requested the Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs Department to supply information about mosques in the country.

The communique categorically stated no such request had been made to the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs by any CID officer.
