Selmo joins in introducing printing technology to Sri Lanka
Selmo (Pvt) Limited, a foremost supplier of quality packaging
solutions to the manufacturing sector in Sri Lanka, have now introduced
a modern printing technology that is being used in the world to their
clients. In order to accomplish this, Selmo (Pvt) Limited commissioned a
modern flexible package printing machine in its factory that is
similalrly used in the world's packaging industry.

Speaking about this achievement, Managing Director, Anton Hemantha
said, "Selmo (Pvt) Limited was established in 1985 as a manufacturer of
printed and unprinted polypropylene and polyethylene packaging for the
garment and tea industry sectors. We have since grown rapidly to become
one of the leading providers of laminated flexible packaging solutions
in Sri Lanka.
We have been providing high quality and innovative packaging
solutions to various industries for almost three decades. Being able to
establish and launch a modern printing machine used in the world's
package printing sector can be considered a juncture of importance in
the business history of the company."
Hemantha further said, "We supply a wide range of packaging materials
tailor-made to suit customer requirements to achieve extended shelf life
of the products packed in under various storage conditions.
Our materials are designed to enhance moisture and oxygen barrier
properties, provide excellent sealing strengths, good clarity, high
puncture resistance, mechanical properties, and also to reduce cost.
These are in the form of printed / unprinted laminated reels, pouches
and sheets converted out of Aluminium Foil, Bi Axially Oriented Poly
Propylene, Nylon, Polyester, Paper and LLDPE for packaging a wide range
of products such as, snacks biscuits, powdered milk, tea, chocolates,
toffees, other sweets, cakes, bread, drinks, beverages, noodles, soy
nuggets, processed meat industry products, spices, dry ration products,
agro chemicals such as pesticides, weedicides, fungicides, fertilizer as
well as to the garment industry."
