Free workshop to enhance skills

The Institute of Business Studies (IBS) campus, Dehiwala is proud to be a part of the successful teacher training workshop which was held recently at the Jayasinghe Hall, Dehiwela, for the third successive year. The main objective of this free workshop was to enhance the skills and techniques of teaching in the current context. Approximately, 750 teachers attended from various schools in the island and six lucky winners were awarded free scholarships to follow the teacher training qualification at IBS. The Managing Director of the IBS campus, T L M Jemseed delivered the welcome address.

Hashim Omar, Director of Independent Television Network (ITN) was the chief guest and distributed scholarship awards to teachers. The main sponsor of this seminar was Crescent International, while the co-sponsors were Pioneer House and Hutch. The event concluded successfully after the delivering of the vote of thanks by the project manager of IBS campus, Shakir Tharick.'Sunday Observer' and 'Daily News' were the print media partners for the event.
