Aitken Spence Travels "A" Travel Trade bowling champs

Aitken Spence Travels "A" retained the Travel Trade Bowling title for the third successive year at the Amaya Resorts and Spas sponsored, 11th Travel Trade Sports Club Bowling Championships 2012 held at the Strikes Cosmic Bowling Centre on Saturday.

A record number of 50 teams participated and after three rounds of bowling, the top scoring 10 teams advanced to the final round.

The 10 finalists were Whittalls Travels, Traveler Global "A", Amja Travels "B", Exotic Holidays, Walkers Tours "B", Asian Adventures, Aitken Spence Travels "A" & "B", United Holidays and BOC Travels.

Bronze Winner: Exotic Holidays - 424 points [Compiled by Dinesh Hapuarachchi (129), Hasitha Madushanka, (126) and Rizwan Mannan (169)]

Silver Winner: Aitken Spence Travels "B" - 430 points [compiled by Nuwan Wijesena (182), Dhanushka Katugaha (131) and Anil Hapugoda (117)]

Gold Winner: Aitken Spence Travels "A" 440 points compiled by Naleen Fernando (165), Dian Jansz (117) and Enrico Silva (158)]

Nuwan Wijesena from Aitken Spence Travels "B" took the gold medal, as the highest individual scorer in the final round.

Travel Trade Sports Club President Mrs. Dushy Jayaweera along with Sales and Marketing Director Dinesh Silva, Group Reservations Manager Dilshan Ganapragasam and Hameem Farook, Snr. Marketing Manager (all from Amaya Resorts and Spas) were associated in the post tournament awards presentation.
