CEAT racers in strong debut

In their first outing as members of the newly-formed CEAT Racing Team, two drivers and the lone motorcyclist achieved podium finishes at four of the five races they competed in, at the recently concluded Fox Hill Supercross in Diyatalawa.

Gayan Sandaruwan took top honours winning both races for MX Motor Cross Bikes (up to 125cc two-stroke or up to 250 cc four-stroke), winning the champion rider's award.

Lt. Colonel Duminda Jayasinghe (Group SL N Ford Laser/ Mazda 1500 cc) and W A G Rangana (Group SL Cars Special up to 1500cc) were placed second in their respective events.

"This is a great debut for the CEAT racing team," said Sales and Marketing Vice President at CEAT Kelani Holdings Ravi Dadlani. The CEAT Racing Team comprises drivers Nishan Wasalathanthri, W. A. G. Rangana, Kamil Hussein and Lt. Colonel Duminda Jayasinghe and rider Gayan Sandaruwan. They will use CEAT radials exclusively at all tarmac events that they race in, in cars bearing the distinctive CEAT livery. CEAT Racing Team member Gayan Sandaruwan with his awards.
