Cancer Walk 2012

The Interact Club of St Bridget's Convent Colombo 7, has started a project to create awareness about cancer and to raise funds for cancer patients at the Maharagama Cancer Hospital. This project has been named Cancer Walk 2012.

The walk and carnival will be held on May 12. The walk will start at St Bridget's Convent main gate at 8.30 am. The carnival will be at CH & FC grounds from 10 am.

Two awareness campaigns too, had been organized in Kandy and Colombo.

The Kandy campaign was held recently under the patronage of Central Province Governor Tikiri Kobbekaduwa. He was impressed that the schoolgirls came from Colombo to spread the message and create an awareness about cancer and thanked them for their commitment to serve society.

They also visited the Kandy Branch of the Cancer Society before returning to Colombo.
