Rajans in massive win

Dharmaraja College ran riot in their season's lung opener when they
beat Carey College, Colombo by the massive margin of 83 points (4 goals,
11 tries) to nil in their schools under 19 division one segment B rugby
tournament match played at the Bogambara stadium, Kandy yesterday.
At half time Rajans led 50-0.
Carey College had no answer to the power play exerted by the Rajans
who punched holes in their defence at regular intervals.
Rajans have totted up a match winning score mid way in the game and
did not attempt many of the try conversions as they did not want to
waste time and in the final reckoning it was the tries which mattered
when it comes to bonus points.
As many as ten players scored tries for the Rajans which meant that
they moved the ball against a hapless defence put up by their opponents.
Scoring tries for the Rajans were full back and skipper Miyuru
Hewawasam (2), lock forward Lochana Fernando (2), flanker Mahinda Herath
(1), hooker Gehan Jayasinghe (1), flanker Ishanka Manamperi (1), No 8
Lochana Ekanayake (2), fly half Tilina Wijesinghe (2), prop Vasaba
Bandara (2), and winger Ishanka Wimalasuriya (1). No 8 Lochana Ekanayake
and fly half Tilina Wijesinghe goalled two tries each. Priyantha
