Tele-Creations are now accepting entries for the Rupavahini State Awards Ceremony 2011/2012, organised by the Cultural Affairs Department under the direction of the Culture and the Arts Ministry, Cultural Affairs Department sources said.

Creative television productions in Sinhala, Tamil or English should have concluded telecast before December 31, 2010/ 2011 to be eligible.

Tele- dramas (series or single), docudramas, documentaries, television presenters, news reporting and news reader, programmes on children, music, education and culture, innovation, discussions as well as fillers, trailers, visual art songs, set designs, advertisements, graphic/animations, dubbing, lighting direction (multi- camera production), short films made by amateurs, literary fictions written about television media (first edition 2010/2011) are considered for the awards.

Information and applications on these categories can be obtained from the Director, Department of Cultural Affairs, 8th Floor, Sethsiripaya, Battaramulla.

Acceptance of entries (DVD format) will be closed on May 15 at 4 pm .
