Facilities for two Northern villages

The government has taken immediate measures to solve some issues of two villages, Wasanthapuram and Nedunkulma in the Kolombuthurei electorate in Jaffna. Under the Northern development project, these two villages were identified for development.

Traditional Industries and Small Enterprisers Minister Douglas Devananda recently paid a visit to these areas and directed Jaffna Municipal Council officials to provide water bowsers to the area as a solution to the drinking water problem.

The minister further directed officials to provide financial grants to each house to construct toilets. A school and playground have also been built in the area.
