Public lecture
A public lecture on planning, design and construction of utility
tunnels would be delivered on April 27 at the Wimalasurendra Auditorium
of the Institution of Engineers of Sri Lanka at Wijerama Mawatha by Eng
Leslie Pakianathan who is a Project Director based in the Singapore
office of Mott MacDonald Consulting Engineers specializing in tunnelling
and underground construction works.
He joined Mott MacDonald in 1986 and has worked on challenging
projects including the Channel Tunnel, Heathrow Express railway, Hong
Kong Harbour Area Treatment Scheme Stage 1, Singapore Cable Tunnels and
North South Expressway. His experience covers both design office and
project administration on site in equal measure.
The public lecture would be of special interest to Civil Engineers,
Geologists, Earth Resources Engineers and those in allied fields
together with those pursuing studies in these disciplines of study.
Leslie Pakianathan is an alumni of the Imperial College of Science,
Technology and Medicine and is at present serving as Vice President of
the Tunnelling and Underground Construction Society, Singapore. He is
also the Country Representative in Singapore, of the Institution of
Civil Engineers, London. |
