Trinity take on Antonians today

Trinity College will take on their traditional rivals St. Anthony's
College in a Lemonade Trophy under 19 limited over knock out cricket
tournament match to be played at the Asgiriya stadium, Kandy today at
9.45 a.m.
When these two schools clashed for the Richard Aluwihare trophy last
Saturday, Antonians shocked Trinity College with a 10 run win in a match
which could have gone either way.
Irresponsible batting let down the Trinitians when a win was there
for the asking. One expected Trinity to win that match after they won
the big match by an innings to break a 25 year hoodoo. But at the
limited over clash it was a complete turn around of fortunes as the
under dogs came out on top.
Earlier this week Trinity college won their first round match against
St. Anthony's College, Panadura by a record margin of 302 runs.
The Panadura Antonians turned out to be weak opponents as they
conceded a huge total of 352 for 6 to their opponents and in their turn
at the wickets could total only 46 runs losing their last 5 wickets
without scoring a run. But the Antonians who received a walk over in
their first match could be a different kettle of fish as they are riding
high after their 10 run win last Saturday and could hope for a repeat
performance.
But Trinity College on the other hand will go all out to avenge last
Saturdays defeat. This could be anybodys game and the result will be in
balance till the last ball is bowled as witnessed last Saturday at
Katugastota.
