Luncheon meeting

The Sri Lanka – Canada Business Council (SLCBC) of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will be organizing a luncheon meeting with Upali Obeyesekere, President, Canada-Sri Lanka Business Council on the topic “A strategic briefing to facilitate the successful entry and the acceleration of sustainable growth of Sri Lankan exports in Canada’s lucrative export market” on April 3 at the Union Ballroom, Hilton Colombo Residence 12 noon onwards.

Upali Obeyesekere, President, Canada - Sri Lanka Business Council is the Canadian Trade Representative for the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE). Obeyesekere is also the Director of South Asian Business Councils Alliance (SABCA) that promotes trade, investment and technology transfer between Canada and SAARC countries.

He pioneered the import of food products from Sri Lanka to Canada in 1983 as agents for Sri Lanka State Trading Corporation (CONSOLEXPO), and Union Commodities (Pvt.) Ltd.

He was an Investment Promotion Consultant for the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, a position he held with distinction for three years. Further details could be obtained from email: [email protected]
