much coveted global annual report competition. SLT is the first listed

Awards.
Chief Executive Officer, Sri Lanka Telecom Greg Young said “We are
proud to win the Gold award at the 2010/11 Vision Awards Annual Report
Competition and to be placed within the top 20 of the 100 companies
ranked globally. This honour is doubly significant because the SLT
annual report was pitted against several participating Fortune 500
companies. This year's competition attracted more than 5,000 entries
representing over 24 countries, and was a very formidable competition.
SLT would like to thank our media partner, Emagewise (Pvt) Ltd, for
creatively expressing our vision for the annual report with such high
standards. The annual report is a company's most powerful communications
tool, delivering to our stakeholders valuable insights into the compa
operations and performance. SLT maintains strict corporate governance
and enterprise risk management practices and reports this to our
stakeholders through our annual reporting process which is on par with
those of the best corporate institutions in the world.
Furthermore, the competition attracted one of the largest numbers of
submissions ever, representing a broad range of industries and
organizational sizes. Materials were judged in peer-level competitions
and SLT was able to surpass some of the more prominent
telecommunications companies around the globe in the quality of our
annual report.
