St Sylvester's College

The annual inter-house sports meet of St Sylvester's College, Kandy, will be held at the Bogambara Stadium, Kandy, tomorrow commencing at 1 pm.

Director Dental Services, a distinguished old boy, Sri Lanka Air Force Air Vice Marshal Dr A M B Amunugama will be the chief guest.


St. Anthony's Girls’ College

The annual inter-house track and field meet of St Anthony's Girls College, Kandy, will be held at the School Grounds in Kandy, tomorrow commencing at 9 am.

Former Kandy District UPFA Parliamentarian and Central Province Provincial Councillor and present President of Central Province Cricket Association and Kandy District Cricket Association Tilina Tennakoon will be the chief guest.


Thurstan College

The annual inter-house sports meet of Thurstan College will be held on

February 9 at Thurstan College Sports Complex at Stanley Tillakaratne
Mawatha,Col 7.

A distinguished old boy of the school, Gratian Gunawardana will be the chief guest.


Vijaya House Champions

The inter-house sports meet of Bandaranayake Central College Veyangoda was held recently at the school playground under the patronage of Divisional Director of Education Attanagalle Ajith Jayasundara. He was the chief guest at the opening ceremony.

Vijaya House emerged champions collecting 424 points overall. Parakrama House emerged runners-up with 393 points. Gamunu and Tissa Houses won the third and fourth places respectively.

Palali Air Force base Commanding Officer Group Captain Atula Kumara Kaluarachchi graced this occasion later as the chief guest of the prize giving.


Chithra House victorious

Inter-house sports meet of Pushpadana Girls’ College, Kandy was held at Bogambara stadium recently. The chief guest was the Central Province Governor Tikiri Kobbekaduwa and the guest of honour was Mrs Deepa Rathnapriya, a distinguished old girl and a past teacher of Physical Education.

Tikiri Kobbekaduwa Championship Trophy was won by Chithra House with 438 points whilst P.G. Dayananda Trophy for the first runner-up was won by Gothami House with 353 points. Best marching squad and the best drill squad was the Gothami House.

The best athlete in track events was Chathurika Ekanayake and the best athlete in field events was Dehani Dulanga.
