Sri Lanka has proved that all material and video clips against Sri Lanka are false, although the pro-LTTE international media such as Channel Four and diaspora had unleashed adverse publicity against the three Forces and the government, Media Centre for National Security (MCNS) Director General Lakshman Hulugalle said.

“The Tamil community in the North and East have gone through a harrowing ordeal during the past three decades due to war and terrorism. These people had no freedom to even speak against the bitter experiences they had to face,” he added. Hulugalle was addressing the RUTHLESS- LTTE’s Final Crimes Against Humanity DVD launching ceremony at the MCNS yesterday. This DVD produced by the Defence Ministry, includes facts and evidence supplied by the Tamil people relating to the war along with the identity of the real perpetrators of atrocities against them. “All arrangements are in place to release these DVDs and video clips to the international media to make it aware of the correct details of the war period in Sri Lanka,” he said.

“This is not for political advantage or for any personal benefits, but to give a correct understanding about the experiences of the Tamil community of the North and East during the war period,” Hulugalle said. Answering a question by the media, Army Media Spokesman Brigadier Nihal Hapuarachchi said it that there was no further LTTE threat in Sri Lanka since the outfit was completely defeated military.

Police Media Spokesman SP Ajith Rohana, Sri Lanka Air Force acting Media Spokesman Group Captain Roshan Biyanwila and Sri Lanka Navy Assistant Media Coordinator Commander Heetiarachchi also participated.
