These little angels were found in a box when they were just a day old. Rescued by Asha de Alwis, they were wormed and looked after carefully by her.

Sri Lankan queer cinema at the Goethe Institut

Sri Lankan queer cinema, short films on identitiy, freedom and desire will be held on January 4, 2012 at 5.30 pm at the Goethe hall, No 39, Gregory's Road, Colombo 7.

Film screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmakers. The moderator will be Anoma Rajakaruna.

Upheaval launches next year

Upheaval, a mixed - abled dance will be launched in Colombo in January next year. Auditions will take place this month. DIN A 13 tanzcompany is worldwide one of the few dance companies working in contemporary dance-theatre with differently abled dancers. Based in Germany,the company has focused its artistic work on intercultural collaborations and has created dance productions with local artists in countries as diverse as Brazil, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, south Africa and Senegal.

'Upheaval' the company's new project, will focus on moments of intense social change and the individual's experiences within them.
