Car grabbers have a field day in stolen vehicle
Thieves fleeing in a stolen car abandoned it at
Horana, Kumbuka area yesterday when they realized they were being
followed by Police. The men had stolen the car by threatening the
driver. The men had committed several robberies after stealing the
car. The driver was tied in the car’s dicky.

Police raid in-house distillery
An illicit distillery operated in a room in a
house in Ingiriya was raided by Police on Wednesday night. The raid
was carried out following information received by a constable. The
Police found eight barrels of goda at the time of the raid and also
seized 15,840 drams of goda.
