Naukasana (single)
Few weeks back we presented a method in which the Naukasana could be
performed by two people. There is also a means of performing the same
asana but in a different manner and by yourself.
This pose could be performed in two manners: by lifting the body
upwards as well as by lifting the body downwards.
Step 1 – Sit on the mat with your feet stretched out in front of you.
Place your hands with the palms on the ground. Breath deeply and hold
your breath.
Step 2 – Put your feet together and lift them off the floor. Do not
bend you knees. Be in this asana for about five seconds. Breath out and
slowly bring your feet to the ground. Practise this asana three times.
However pregnant women and those who have undergone surgery in the
stomach are advised not to perform this asana.
