A participant receiving his award and the team that underwent the course.

These self-trained bakers equipped with only the basic know-how of baking, benefited immensely from this five day course conducted free of charge at the AB Mauri bakery school premises in Mount Lavinia. This was the first batch of many bakers who have been selected for this program and all 14 participants comprised Army personnel based in the North and East areas of the country.

The training covers both theoretical and practical aspects of baking with emphasis on bread, cake and pastry ranges.

The certificate presentation ceremony was held at the bakery premises recently and the Managing Director of AB Mauri Lanka S.B.M Padmasiri and the AB Mauri Bakery Technical Manager for the South and West Asia Region, Eddie Buczek participated.
