Mahendra resigns from ComBank

Commercial Bank announced the resignation of Mahendra Amarasuriya from the Board of Directors of the bank as Chairman from today.

The company secretary has informed the Colombo Stock Exchange that the resignation is due to personal reasons, notwithstanding the Appeal Court interim order making it legally possible for him to continue as a Director beyond December 31, 2011.
