Four from same family hacked to death
Land dispute cause for quadruple murder:
Four persons from the same family were hacked to
death on Saturday night in Katiyawa area, Eppawala, Police said. The
victims are two middle aged women, a young woman and a young man.

‘CSC reactivation will ensure public security’
Reorganization and restoration of islandwide
Civil Security Committees (CSC) has been completed. Under the
guidance of President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Defence Secretary
Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Civil Committees were completely reactivated
with the objective of ensuring peace and security to the public by
enhancing the relationship between the Police and the public, said
