Measures to reduce electricity rates

Power and Energy Deputy Minister Premalal Jayasekara yesterday stated that the ministry is taking measures to reduce the price of electricity during the next four years.

He made this observation in Parliament in response to a question raised by UNP MP Ravi Karunanayake. Karuna-nayake questioned if the government takes measures to reduce the electricity rates. The Deputy Minister Jayasekara said the Ministry would take measures to do so within next four years.
