Ceylon Continental Hotel catches the Night Race fever
The busy streets of Colombo that sleeps at night will be invaded by
mean machines as Ceylon Continental Hotel becomes the new place to
witness the fast and the furious on December 17. For the first time in
Sri Lanka, Colombo's entertainment seekers will be able to live it up
and experience the thrill of night racing.

The races will see both cars and motorbikes line up in different
categories on a circuit that is drawn out from Colombo streets. Nine car
events and six bike events are on the cards according to the organizers
of the event. The races will be conducted on the streets that will be
totally re-laid especially for the event. The main feature of the event
will be the combined race for GT3 and GT4 cars where top international
competitors drive featuring exotic racing machines. Sri Lankan fans will
get the opportunity of seeing Aston Martins, Porsches, BMWs, Moslers,
Lamborghinis and other racing cars competing on home soil. Different
races will be held for Minis, Fords, Mazdas, Honda Civics in addition to
Super Cars.
This extravagant night full of excitement and entertainment will
start at 4 pm and the after party will continue till dawn for Colombo's
speed demons, adrenaline junkies and thrill seekers. Watch the racers
whiz inches away from you, the straight drive and the turn. Get the
opportunity to be up close and personal with the display of the race on
the large screen. Enjoy the best view in town and special seating
options while you get the party started to music by Crossroads band, Dj
Kapila and Real Radio.
To add to all the excitement, the "never drink and drive" Global
Corporate Social Responsibility campaign of Diageo International and in
association of the Autogrill Lanka have decided to display the McLaren
Mercedes in Colombo. Sri Lankan race car fans will get a rare
opportunity to see the car in the premises of Ceylon Continental Hotel
front lawn. |
