'Arts revival is evident'

A great improvement is evident in the field of dancing and arts throughout the country. Events in this regard are being organized. The trend is a positive development, Cultural and Arts Minister T B Ekanayake said.

He was addressing the Pranama Sarani awards ceremony and dancing performance at the Janakala Kendraya, Battaramulla, yesterday.

The awards ceremony and dancing performance organized by the Horana Education Division Dancing unit, was held under the patronage of Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena.

"The government will open the Mahinda Rajapaksa Nelum Pokuna Performing Arts Theatre on December 15. International level performances will be held at the Theatre in the near future, he said.
