NCC in easy win over SSC

A partnership of 97 runs for the third wicket between Chamara Kapugedara and Yohan de Silva while Farveez Maharoof with a spell of four for 39, secured a victory by six wickets for NCC over SSC in Premier Limited Over Tier A , Group A match played at NCC ground on Sunday.

SSC 198 all out in 48.2 overs: (Thilina Kandambi 50, Tharanga Paranavitana 35, Farveez Maharoof 4 for 39, Jehan Bubarak 2 for 33, I Udayanga 2 for 29)

NCC 200 for four wickets in 43.4 overs: (Chamara Kapugedara 52, Yohan de Silva 47, J Mubarak 39 no)

Dishan and Priyanjan secure victory

A run a ball innings of 61 runs by TM Dilshan and a half century by Ashan Priyanjan led Tamil Union CAC to edge out Baduraliya SC by five wickets in another encounter of the same tournament at P Sara grounds.

Nishan Sampath in a solitary battle made 112 for Baduraliya SC while other batsman failed at regular intervals. Tamil Union chasing a target of 194 did so with five wickets remain.

Baduraliya SC 193 all out in 49.3 overs (Nishan Sampath 112, Chaminda Widanapathirana 3 for 36, C Malinga 3 for 29)

Tamil Union CAC 194 for 5 in 34.5 overs (TM Dilshan 61, Ashan Priyanjan 50, Nishan Sampath 2 for 57)

Bloomfield in nail-biting win

In a match that showed equally good performances by both teams, Bloomfield CAC defeated Ragama CC by one wicket at their home ground in group B encounter.

Ragama CAC 221 for 8 in 50 overs (Sameera de Zoysa 47, Indika de Saram 39, Tharanga Laksitha 4 for 58 )

Bloomfield CAC 222 for 9 in 46.1 overs ( DK Ranaweera 44, DY Munaweera 41, K Weeraratne 3 for 34, Malinga Bandara 3 for 38 )

Perera gives lead

A fine knock of 77 runs from 74 balls by Janith Perera helped Colts CC to reach 236 to confirm a duckworth lewis victory of 22 runs over Chilaw Marians CC at CCC ground in anther group B match.

Colts having won the toss opted to bat first and made 236 all out in 49.4 overs. Chasing a target of 227 runs from 46.2 overs based on DL method , Chilaw Marians only reached 204 for 9 despite of Lahiru Weragala’s 75.
