Mobitel’s winning streak continues
Five awards won at National Business Excellence

Mobitel, the national mobile services provider won five awards
including a Bronze for The Overall Winner of the show at the recently
concluded National Business Excellence Awards 2011 organized by The
National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka. Having originated in 2004,
the National Business Excellence Awards has recognized Sri Lanka’s top
class businesses, having thrived amongst contemporaries.
The criterion includes organizations that have displayed sustainable
market competitiveness parallel to advocating best practices amongst all
business transactions. Recapturing the true essence of a Sri Lankan
corporate, the NBE Awards resonates the business talent present amongst
organizations today.
“These wins at the National Business Excellence Awards symbolize the
vote of confidence bestowed on Mobitel by the distinguished panel of
judges who are some of our country’s most respected personalities and
further this is also an applause for the vision that we have set for

The National Business Excellence Awards, an annual awards ceremony
conducted by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL), is
dedicated to recognize the potential of the Sri Lankan corporate. The
rationale of the competition is to bring to light business enterprises,
which have demonstrated business excellence whilst actively contributing
towards the socio - economic progress of the country.
Other awards clinched by Mobitel in addition to the Bronze award for
Overall Winner include Gold awards for Infrastructure and Utilities
sector and for Best Tech - Savvy Company, a Silver award for Best
Capacity Builder and a Bronze award for Extra Large Category.
The wins at National Business Excellence Awards continues to build on
Mobitel’s winning streak this year at all the major award functions both
national and international including the highest recognitions at SLIM
Brand Excellence Awards (Brand of the Year), SLIE Engineering Excellence
Awards, CNCI Achievers of Industrial and Service Excellence Awards
(Gold) as well as ICTA eSwabhimani Award (Gold) and mBillionth Award by
Digital Empowerment Foundation India. |
