EMP, Schneider in strategic partnership

Electro Metal Pressings (EMP), a leading manufacturer of electrical
LV panel boards has signed a MOU with Schneider Electric Sri Lanka which
is a global specialist in energy management. EMP Chairman Chandranandana
Diyunuge said this MOU was signed with a view to become the first
Alliance Partner of Schneider Electric for MV Components Integration and
unveil state-of-the-art medium voltage panels for the booming Sri Lankan
market.

This Rs 100 million investment will create 50 employment
opportunities in the near future and save Rs 300 million worth of
foreign exchange for the country as importing of these panel boards can
be stopped.
Schneider Electric Greater India Zone Country President and Managing
Director Olivier Blum said Schneider Electric Lanka is committed towards
investing in developing emerging economies and have a great confidence
that the Sri Lankan economy is going to move fast in the coming years.
He said this MOU is a testimony to the evolving Sri Lanka market and
Schneider Electric’s focus on helping partners like Electro Metal
Pressings to demonstrate commitment and dedication to deliver
world-class solutions and high value to their customers.
“We will not only be doing business but also developing local
talents. Things are changing fast and we keep on reviewing the progress
time to time,” he said.
“The MOU is significant as it showcases Schneider Electric’s domain
knowledge and expertise in the Medium Voltage space and helps EMP to
bring to the Sri Lankan market the latest MV Panel technology for the
first time, he said.

growing rapidly and they are privileged to be part of it.
“He hoped to bring a unique value preposition to customers across all
segments as the Global specialist in energy management,” he said.
Nagarajan said Schneider Electric is operating in more than 100
countries, offering integrated solutions across multiple market
segments, including residential applications and the company’s 110,000
