Police seize heroin

The Police seized nearly 40 grams of heroin fron Kollonnawa, Borella and Beruwela over the weekend. The Borella Police arrested a person at Serpentine Road in Borella with 110 mg of heroin in his possession. The arrest was made on a tip off. The suspect was to be produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate.

The Kalutara Magistrate yesterday ordered to remand a suspect who was arrested with 15 grams of heroin at Beruwela. He was remanded until November 12. The Beruwela Police arrested the suspect at Magalkanda in Beruwela on Sunday.

Another suspect who was arrested by the Police Special Task force with 18.73 g of heroin in Kolonnawa was ordered bo he remanded by the Colombo Magistrate. He was remanded until November 18.

The STF arrested the suspect at the Pirivena Road, Kolonnawa on Sunday. The STF also seized a sum of Rs 92,000 in the suspect's possession.
