Cricket postponed in Kandy

The inter-schools cricket match between Dharmaraja College and Zahira College, Colombo which was scheduled to be played at Lake View Grounds, Kandy today and tomorrow has been postponed.

A spokesman for Dharmaraja College said that at present Kandy is experiencing wet weather conditions a especially in the afternoons and this means only a few hours play will be possible hence this decision was taken to postpone this match. With the wet weather experienced in Kandy it is unlikely that any cricket match could be played without interruption.
