Seetha Devi Balika in massive 13-0 win

Seetha Devi Balika Vidyalaya swamped Gothami Balika Vidyalaya by the massive margin of 13 goals to nil in their Kandy schools girls under 15 hockey tournament match organized by the Kandy District Schools Hockey Association and played at the University Grounds, Peradeniya yesterday. At half time Seetha Devi girls led 6-0.

Centre forward Tharaki Dissanayake opened Seetha Devi Balika Vidyalaya's account with a hat-trick and in all she netted five goals. The other goal scorers were centre forward Wathsala Jayasinghe (2), left inside Thamali Paranagama (2), left extreme Poornima Fernando (2) and right extreme Shehani Madurangi (2).

Indika Jayawardena and H Ekanayake umpired.

In another match Seetha Devi Balika Vidyalaya trounced Swarnamali Balika Vidyalaya 6-0 after lead 3-0 at the breather. Sounding the boards for Seetha Devi Balika Vidyalaya were Tharaki Dissanayake (2), Wathsala Jayasinghe (2) and Thamali Paranagama.

The results of other matches played were Pushpadana Girls College beat Seetha Devi BV 'B' 2-1, Pushpadana Girls College beat Hewaheta Central College 1-0.
