Dompe attack: 10 suspects to be produced today

The Criminal Investigation Department investigating the recent attack on the Dompe Police Station, will produce 10 suspects before Gampaha Magistrate and Additional District Judge Macky Mohamed for an identification parade today.

The CID took into custody 25 suspects who were allegedly involved in the attack on the Dompe Police station.

Eleven other suspects will be produced before the Magistrate on November 1, the CID said.

According to investigations, the CID DIG said that the suspects taken into custody had damaged the police station and attempted to set fire to it.

The incident occurred after the death of a person who was taken into custody by the Dompe Police.

Earlier, the suspects had been remanded pending the completion of the identification parade, the CID said.
