Two hackers nabbed

The Crime Investigation Division (CID) arrested two computer engineering students for allegedly obtaining secret information from JAVA Technological Institute and government development plans by hacking the websites.

The students are from the Malabe Information Technological Institute and Moratuwa University. JAVA Technological Institute chairman Krishantha Siribaddana said he had lodged a complaint with the CID. After the complaint, the CID launched an investigation and nabbed the two hackers in Nugegoda and Radawana.

The suspects were produced before the Colombo magistrate and released on Rs one million surety bail. The CID is investigating.
