“The show opened the stage for our war heroes to bring light their
aesthetic talents that were hidden during the war,” highlighted Lakshman
Hulugalle. Breaking out on October 21, Mission 2 is expected to be far
more extravagant with the initial 30,000 applicants and the selected
3,000 participants.
The participants of Mission 2 are only our very own service men and
women who have completed two years of active service in the tri armed
forces. Last year’s Ranaviru Real Star Commander Damien Fernando of the
Sri Lanka Navy said, “The experience was wonderful, but it wasn’t about
being a star that made me truly happy, it was about how people talked
about my personality on stage” which highlights the core of the show
itself: not only bringing out the hidden talents of the armed forces,
but gives them a stage to project their personality and enjoy
themselves.
Nevertheless the winners of the reality show gain luxurious prizes at
the end of the season. The winner of Ranaviru Real Star Mission 2 will
receive a house worth 15 million rupees.
The runner up will receive a 2 million-rupee car, 2nd runner up with
a cash prize of 1 million rupees and the fourth and fifth placements
walking away with 500,000 rupees each.
Sponsoring the grand event is Sri Lanka’s largest mobile service
provider, Dialog, along with Rupavahini as the show’s prestigious media
partner.
“Partnering with Ranaviru Real Star for the second year running is an
honor and a privilege,” Dialog Axiata Group Chief Marketing Officer
Nushad Perera stated. He added that the realization of hidden talents of
our heroes from the forces is a worthy cause.
, “This is not the event of the military, or the event of Dialog, but
an event for Sri Lanka – Ranaviru Real Star,” Rupavahini Chairman Mohan
Samaranayake said. |
