The Pannala Race Track will be filled with action when the finals of the Speed Racing Series will be held this Sunday. The championship is jointly organized by the Ceylon Motor Sports Club, Sri Lanka Motor Cycle Club, Motor Racing Association and the Asian Motor Racing Club and it will be the fourth and final round of the championship.

Upon successful completion of the third round which was held in June this year, the organizers are confident on high level of competition under the improved improved safety facilities.

The SLGT 3500CC class which is probably the most popular motorcar events will see the champion driver Dinesh Deheragoda streaming through to another championship win, whatever the result of tomorrow's race would be.

In the SL H 1600CC event, Ashan Silva leads the points table with 30 points, 18 ahead of second placed Sajad Zuhair.

The other popular events will include and the classes of the Mini, Nissan March, Ford Laser and the Formula Ford together with the Formula Mclarens 1300.

The championship has also made way to newcomers who will race in the Formula Mclarens 1300 event.

The results of this championship will be taken towards the 2011 national championship of the Sri Lanka Automobile Sports. There will be motor cycle events worked off as well and those results will also be counted in for the national championship of the Federation of Motor Cycle Sports in Sri Lanka.

The local riders will have to face tough competition from some foreign riders who are expected to ride at Pannala tomorrow and it will definitely add colour to the racing extravaganza.
