Delivering business value through IT infrastructure, services
UBM India, the Indian arm of leading global business Media Company
announced its new initiative to connect with the Sri Lankan IT decision
makers through Sri Lanka CIO Summit 2011 held at The Galadari, Colombo
recently.
At this knowledge-cum-networking evening, a platform was created for
decision makers to interact with innovative global solution providers,
with whom they can partner to build innovation in their IT departments.
The evening also created an opportunity for the attendees to interact
with internationally recognized through leaders as well as network with
peers who are experts in the IT field, allowing IT decision makers to
walk away from the event with tools and strategies to catapult the IT
Department from a cost centre to a revenue driver.
The Keynote presentation was made by United Nations - UNOPS National
Portfolio Development Manager for Sri Lanka and the Maldives Rohantha
Athukorala. Some key topics such as Energy Perspective in Datacentres;
Building a secure and complaint IT infrastructure and Effective Data
Protection Strategy for Enterprises were discussed by Mayank Srivastav,
Head-Solution Engineering, APC Schneider Electric; by Bobby Jacob,
Senior Solutions Consultant, Novell and by Ruchin Kumar, Principal
Solution Architect - India and SAARC, SafeNet India Pvt. Ltd. Around 100
IT decision makers from Sri Lankan companies across different verticals
attended the summit. |
