Attack on SLMC registrar: one arrested
The Police yesterday arrested a suspect in
connection with the assault on Sri Lanka Medical Council Registrar
Dr N J Nonis. Police Spokesman SSP Maxi Proctor said that the
Moratuwa Police arrested the suspect at Kaludawala, Panadura. The
suspect was to be produced before the Moratuwa magistrate yesterday.

Suspect who issued dud cheque arrested
A suspect alleged to have defrauded a person to
the tune of Rs 650,000 by issuing a cheque which had bounced was
