Chinese cycling enthusiasts encourage motorists to abandon their cars: A group of Chinese cycling enthusiasts gathering for a ride through Zhengzhou, in central China’s Henan province in an effort to encourage motorists to abandon their cars for a better health and to improve the environment. Amidst all the talk of China’s boom in automobile sales, its snarled traffic and smoky urban landscapes, the Chinese Bicycle Association says 816 million bicycles were sold domestically in 2010.
