UBM India hosts CIO Summit 2011

Over 100 IT decision makers from Sri Lankan companies participate:

UBM India, the Indian arm of leading global business Media Company announced its new initiative to connect with the Sri Lankan IT decision makers through Sri Lanka CIO Summit 2011 held recently in Colombo.

At this knowledge-cum-networking evening, a platform was created for decision makers to interact with innovative global solution providers, with whom they can partner to build innovation in their IT departments. This evening also created an opportunity for the attendees to interact with internationally recognized thought leaders as well as network with peers who are experts in the IT field, allowing IT decision makers to walk away from the event with tools and strategies to catapult the IT Department from a cost center to a revenue driver.

Keynote presentation was made by National Portfolio Development Manager for Sri Lanka and the Maldives, United Nations - UNOPS Rohantha Athukorala.

Some key topics such as Energy Perspective in Datacenters; Building a secure & compliant IT infrastructure and Effective Data Protection Strategy for Enterprises were discussed by Head -Solution Engineering, APC Schneider Electric; Mayank Srivastav, Senior Solutions Consultant, Novell, Bobby Jacob, and by Principal Solution Architect - India & SAARC, SafeNet India (Pvt) Ltd, Ruchin Kumar.

Around 100 IT decision makers from Sri Lankan companies across different verticals attended the summit.
