Tree falls on trishaw, killing woman

Two children seriously injured:

A woman died and her two sons were seriously injured near a school in Nawalapitiya when a tree fell on a three-wheeler in which they were travelling.

The two injured children were admitted to the Nawalapitiya and Kandy Hospitals.

The woman killed was Fatima Rizaya, 31, a resident of Selambridge. Mohammed Abdul, 2, is receiving treatment at the Nawalapitiya hospital while Mohammed Ashraff, 12, was admitted to the Kandy General Hospital.The three-wheeler driver was also injured.

The three-wheeler was badly damaged.
