killed 141 people and displaced more than 4 million in southern
Sindh province. Flash floods have caused widespread damage in 21
districts and destroyed crops over 1.7 million acres of land in

AL rejects foreign meddling in Syria
Praises authorities for granting ICRC access:
Arab League (AL) Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi
has rejected foreign interference in the internal affairs of Syria,
amid Western threats against Damascus, Press TV reports. During a
meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Saturday, the AL
chief also voiced the organization’s commitment to helping Syria
resolve the ongoing unrest in the Middle Eastern country.Last week,
the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
praised measures taken by Syrian authorities to defuse the unrest in
the country and protect civilians.
