Police probe fire incident at SLBFE

Several computers and peripherals were damaged when a fire erupted yesterday afternoon at the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) building at Battaramulla, Koswatta, SLBFE General Manager Harischandra Batagoda said.

According to SLBFE sources, no sooner the fire broke out the fire alarm had rang.

Fire Fighting Unit with the assistance of Talangama Police doused the fire after they were informed by the security personnel who were on duty. A full scale investigation is being carried out by the Police regarding the fire which broke out at the third floor.

According to Police, there were no casualties.

It is believed, that an electricity leak might be the cause of the fire.
