SriLankan makes operational profit
Route, Fleet expansions on the cards:
SriLankan Airlines is now making operational
profits and this trend would continue said SriLankan Airlines
Chairman Nishantha Wickramasinghe. Speaking at the Pro Surf
Championships here he said that one of the main reasons for this is
the ‘oil factor’ which is at manageable levels and also prudent
management tools that were implemented recently.

Ceylon Cinnamon Brand launched:
Major global promotion at Anuga Fair next month
The Ceylon Cinnamon Brand, launched by the
Export Development Board at Hotel Taj Samudra on Friday night, will
be globally showcased at the Anuga Trade Fair in Germany next month
and at the Expo Fair 2012 in Colombo in March 2012. EDB Chairman
Janaka Ratnayake said that following the launch, adding there will
not be restricted promotional budgets for Ceylon Cinnamon, which
accounted for over 81 percent of the global market.

Multi Finance gets shareholder consent to list in CSE

Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on last Friday approved a
special resolution, to convert the debt of its holding company into
ordinary voting shares.
