TKS Finance makes headway

Raising a significant interest in the financial sector with its entry into the development oriented priorities is TKS Finance Limited with its planned strategy of innovations.

The company is registered under the Finance Companies Act of the Monetary Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

TKS Finance Ltd's thrust into Sri Lanka's reconstruction efforts and economic resurgent activities is spearheaded by the Chief Executive Officer Rasika Kaluarachchi.

He has also contributed to research projects in Credit, Risk Management and Marketing in the financial sector.

TKS Finance Ltd's capital was formed by infusing substantial foreign funds by high net-worth Malaysian Investors. The Chairman, Tiong King Sing is a business tycoon in Malaysia. He is also the CEO of Wijaya Baru Global Berhad - a company listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.

TKS Sing has already acquired 99 percent stake of Asian Finance Limited in Sri Lanka by capital infusion of Rs 700 Mn, thus stabilizing the company's position.

He has substantial shareholdings in Malaysia's Timberwell Berhad, Ralco Corporation Berhad, NV Multi Corporation Berhad, Cepat Waswasan Berhad and Online One Corporation Berhad among others.

Deputy Chairman, Abdul Azim Mohd Zabidi is a veteran banker - Chairman of Bank of Simpanan National (BSN) for 10 years, past President of World Savings Bank Institute (Asia Pacific), former President of Federation of Malaysian Unit Trust Managers, member of National Economic Consultative Council, Securities Commission and Capital Market Advisory Council.

TKS Finance Ltd is further energised by the presence of Director T. Dharmarajah. He is an expert in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Company Law.

S H A M Abeyrathne is a former Assistant Governor of the Central Bank and present Director General of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka. Also strengthening TKS Finance Ltd Directorate is retired Wing Commander and present Director- Admin. and HR of TKS Securities and former General Manager of Empire Teas (Pvt) Ltd Nalin Jayetileke.

Ling Chui Zhen and Ms Tan Yee Shin are also in the management team to strengthen the company's plans and developments.

TKS Finance Ltd is a member of the TKS Group and TKS Holdings which will be launching into massive projects in construction, property development, leisure and financial services.
