Trinity enter quarters

Trinity College, Kandy maintained their unbeaten record when they scored a four wicket win over Lumbini College to enter the quarter-finals of the schools under-17 Division One cricket tournament after the pre quarter-finals played at the Asgiriya Stadium, Kandy yesterday.

This was Trinity's ninth successive win in the tournament six in the group matches and three in the final rounds.

Lumbini College: 136 (Shehan Shashika 18, Rafan Mannan 23, Shehan Wijekoon 22 n.o, Madhushan Supendra 2 for 31, Lakshan Jayasinghe 3 for 8).

Trinity College: 138 for 6 (Lakshan Dassanayake 36, Arjuna Jayasinghe 31, Ron Chandragupta 25 n.o, Janith Lakshan 3 for 32).
