Hooch case: Lankan woman nabbed in Kuwait

A Sri Lankan woman manufacturing and trading in alcohol was arrested by security men from the Farwaniya governorate in Kuwait City during a raid on an apartment, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

The woman is believed to be in her 50s. Police have also taken into custody two men for helping the bootlegger to sell the booze.

Police are said to have confiscated the manufacturing equipment, 25 bottles of liqour ready for sale and referred the trio to the authorities, the Arab Times reported.
