Angry Adivasi attacks security officer

A security officer at the Kandy General Hospital was injured when a member of the Adivasi (Veddha) community shot an arrow at him after he was prevented entry to the hospital with a bow and arrow. The injured security officer was admitted to the hospital with deep cut injuries.

Police investigations reveal that the Veddha member had come to see his wife who is a member of the minor staff at the hospital when he was prevented entry. Kandy Police are investigating.
