Mobitel promotion winners get notebooks, phones

Six customers won Asus Netbooks and Blackberry phones at the grand finale of the Mobitel Special Promotion 2011, conducted from April 1 to May 31 this year. The promotion was open and available to customers, at all Mobitel and SLT outlets and at selected Singer Mega and Arpico Supercentres located islandwide. The customers eligible for this promotion were those who purchased Mobitel data connections or post paid voice connections during the promotional period.

The winners of the Asus Netbooks are Rukshan Fernando of Rajagiriya and T.G.C. Jayashantha Thannekumbura of Matale while the winners of the Blackberry 9700 mobile phones are W.R.P. Zoysa of Maradana, B.H.K. Manjula of Matara, T.M.P. Sanjeewa Thennakoon of Badulla and I.P.M. Wanigabadu of Ambalantota.

Customers who purchased data connections were given a special discount of 10 percent on all Mobitel dongles and a complimentary data SIM as part of a special Mobitel package, the 'Zoom 240'. Customers who purchased postpaid voice connections during the promotion period benefitted with a Rs 500 discount on the refundable deposit fee.
