'Do not misuse my name', cautions Min Mervin Silva

Public Relations and Public Affairs Minister Mervin Silva said he has received information that certain groups claiming to be his friends and secretaries, were using his name to engage in activities which cause obstruction and harassment to the public.

Although he has friends no one except, his own family members, have been permitted to use his name. He would therefore call upon the public to inform the nearest Police station if anyone committed any misdeed or obstruction using his name.

He would provide all support and assistance to the Police to take necessary action against such miscreants.
