UNP Satyagraha banned on magistrate’s orders
Nugegoda magistrate and Additional District Judge
Rohana Anura Kumara Herath yesterday issued order prohibiting the
UNP reformist group from staging a Satyagraha and protest campaign
near Siri Kotha UNP headquarters in Ethul Kotte to coincide with the
Party Working Committee meeting yesterday.

UNP acts according to party constitution - Ranil
The UNP always acts according to the party
constitution, UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe said. Addressing a
press briefing in Colombo on Tuesday, Wickremesinghe said that the
UNP has won power in the Colombo district at elections held in the
