A people-friendly community police soon - Defence Secretary
The Police service will be changed to a
people-friendly community police, Defence Secretary Gotabhaya
Rajapaksa said. The Defence Secretary was addressing a gathering at
a ceremony organized to present certificates to 20 officers of the
Police Life Saving Unit.

Two drunk cops nabbed
Two police constables were nabbed by the Kandy
Police Fraud Bureau for engaging in Perahera duties at the Kandy
Suduhumpola junction in a drunken state on Thursday. A bottle of
liquor was also seized from their possession.
